The great Central Library of Los Angeles celebrates 100 years this year and to commemorate this milestone, LACHS will be offering an exclusive tour of the Central Library led by Christina Rice, Senior Librarian of the Photo Department at Central Library. Rice, a recipient of LACHS’ J. Thomas Owen History Award, has been instrumental in planning the Library’s ongoing Centennial celebration and will share her knowledge and insights surrounding the history of Central Library. The tour will take place Saturday May 2nd from 2-4 PM. Space is limited to twenty Los Angeles Historical Society members so be sure to RSVP as soon as possible.
